【STORY】

「亡靈幻境」是由繪製「交響詩篇Eureka 7」漫畫版的片岡人生以及近藤一馬再次聯手打造的漫畫作品，其帶著黑暗基調的獨特世界觀吸引了不少粉絲的追捧。故事講述自東京大地震的十年後，人們逐漸淡忘這場大災難所帶來的恐怖回憶，而當時親身經歷了這場災難的五十嵐丸太，卻因為當時的意外而失去了記憶。現在的丸太與其他同學一樣過著普通而又平凡無奇的每一天，但這一切後來都被打破了。有一天，一名「紅色男子」突然現身學校，並將在場所有丸太的同班同學殺害了，雖然只有丸太得以倖存，但這也徹底改變了他的命運。本應被拯救了的丸太，卻被冠上莫須有的罪名並處以「死刑」，被強制送進了完全民營化的監獄「DEADMAN WONDERLAND（亡靈幻境）」。亡靈幻境是以東京復興為目的，在日本建立了唯一的完全民營化刑務所，表面上是為了囚犯而建立，並讓人觀光的樂園，但其實是所利用死囚互相廝殺，藉此吸引大量金錢投資，並把擁有特殊能力的死囚來做實驗的不人道之地。在這充滿絕望的「樂園」裡，丸太和神秘少女‧白再次相遇……
